Afrisafe Insurance Brokers & Risk Consultants and CFAO Mobility have officially handed over a brand-new Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid to golfer Bernadette Musanabera.
This was in recognition of her historic hole-in-one achievement during the Match Play Qualifier Tournament held at Entebbe Club on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Musanabera made history after delivering a flawless ace on the par-three 12th hole, striking a precise 113-yard shot using a Ping 9-iron. Her ball landed cleanly on the green before a perfect side spin carried it straight into the cup, sparking wild celebrations among players and spectators.

The feat, witnessed by fellow golfers Dickson Agaba, Kim Nam Yung, and Kenneth Kiddu, secured her the tournament’s ultimate prize; a brand-new Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. With this achievement, she became not only the first female golfer but also the first golfer in the history of the Match Play series to win a hole-in-one car prize.

Reflecting on her achievement during the handover, Musanabera said, “I can’t imagine that I’m now part of history. This shows that golf is not just a sport but also rewarding. I encourage more golfers, especially ladies, to actively participate because there are real opportunities.”
The Match Play Qualifier attracted a total of 246 golfers, including top executives and high-profile players from across the country, highlighting the tournament’s growing prestige and competitive edge.
The hole-in-one prize, which had been sponsored for over a decade, was part of a deliberate effort by partners to elevate the tournament experience and create meaningful rewards for excellence in the sport.
Speaking at the official handover, CFAO Mobility Marketing Manager Isaac Tegule emphasized the significance of the moment, stating, “this achievement is clear evidence of what is possible when talent meets the right platform, and we are proud to have played a part in making this historic moment a reality.”
The qualifier marked the beginning of a highly competitive series, with 64 pairs advancing to the first round as the tournament progresses toward its grand finale, where top performers will earn international golf experiences, including attendance at the DP World Tour in Dubai and trips to Zanzibar and Mombasa.
