Uganda Emerging secured a 4-wicket win over Uganda U19 in the Easter Youth 50-over series, with captain Fahad Mutagana starring with a crucial half-century.
Uganda U19, after winning the toss and opting to bat, struggled against a disciplined bowling attack.
Their captain, Gerald Olipa, fell in the first over, setting the tone for a disappointing total of 152 in 34.3 overs.

Sohera Richard (42) and Nyiro Jonathan (37) were the only notable contributors, as Fortunate Alijuna (3/22) and his bowling unit dismantled the batting lineup.
In response, Uganda Emerging chased the target with confidence. Mutagana led from the front with a composed 62 off 57 balls, supported by Charles Musemeza’s 36.
Despite efforts from Balidawa Ali and Sohera Richard, who took key wickets, Uganda Emerging reached the target in the 28th over.
This victory reaffirms Uganda Emerging’s dominance in the series, serving as vital preparation ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.
The tournament wraps up tomorrow with a decisive final between Tanzania U19 and Uganda U19 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
