Luzira Prisons-based side Mutungo FC is to kick off the 2025-2026 season against Black Stars FC at Kanyanya Express ground.
Going to Kanyanya, Mutungo FC is carrying high hopes to start on a high, with much hope lying in players like Talib Yakole, goalkeeper Stewart Matovu, and a highly anticipated second debut for Gerald Deogratius Adule.
After two seasons playing in the regional league, Mutungo FC is now pushing for Big League qualification. Playing in their opening game timed at 4 pm, it will go along with three other fixtures opening up the Kampala Regional League. Proline FC will host Lufula FC at Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, while Kisugu United will face PCCP FC at Kakungulu Memorial, and Nsambya SC shall take on Edgars FC at Yes Center.
The opening weekend will continue on Sunday, 19 with four fixtures at different pitches.
