Phiona Nabbumba and Sandra Nabweteme both played key roles as their respective teams registered important victories over the weekend.
Nabbumba played 90 minutes as her side B93 Boldklubben defeated BSF 2-0 and climbed to the top of the table.
Odense who were leading the table shared spoils with Aarhus in a 1-all draw and dropped to second place, 2 points behind table leaders B93 Boldklubben.
In the next game, Nabbumba’s B93 Boldklubben will visit Sundby who are at the bottom of the table with one point from four games.
In Turkey, Nabweteme played the entire game as her team Karadeniz Eregli W registered their first win of the season after beating Atasehir W 3-1 to go 7th on the table of 16 teams.
Karadeniz Eregli had lost the first game and will face bottom side Adana Idmanyurduspor W in their next game on 10th September, 2023.
Meanwhile, the duo are expected to be summoned to the Crested Cranes squad that will face Algeria in the upcoming WAFCON qualifiers.
