Ugandan international and Makerere University striker Sharon Namatovu has completed a move to Gokulam Kerala Women FC in the Indian Women’s Super League.

The prolific forward, Namatovu’s arrival at Gokulam Kerala sees her reunite with fellow Ugandan star Fazila Ikwaput, adding more firepower to the team’s attack.

This connection brings unexpected thoughts of more Ugandan link-ups across the Indian Women League with Aminah Nababi and Hadijah Nandago plying their trade at Sethu FC.

The prolific striker has featured for Makerere, Uganda Martyrs, Muteesa and is expected to make her Gokulam Kerala debut on Sunday, March 9, 2025, when they visit Nita.

Gokulam Kerala is a club with a strong pedigree in Indian women’s football, having won league titles in 2019-20, 2021-22 and 2022-23.
