After winning the National Girls Schools Cricket Week, Olila High School have shifted focus to the National Women’s T20 League.

With just a week after winning their third National Schools trophy, the Soroti side will take on Wanderers at the Jinja Cricket Oval on Saturday.

They will be hoping to duplicate the Schools Week form as they will be out in the hunt for their first victory of the season.

Olila got this season underway on April 8 against neighbors Soroti City in a doubleheader, but they lost both games and they currently sit fourth in the league with zero points.

As they head into another doubleheader, they will be looking to outcompete their opponents, but the last time these two sides met, Wanderers won the tie by 6 wickets.

Wanderers, like Olila, also lost the doubleheader to Soroti City. The side coached by Ugandan legend Sam Walusimbi will also be aiming at earning their first win of the season.

Olila beat Wanderers by 51 runs in the first leg last term, but Wanderers will hope they extend their run against the Soroti side.

In the other Women’s game today, defending champions Aziz Damani will be up against Pioneer at the Green Oval in Entebbe. Both will be playing their first game of the campaign.

Damani were to open their season against Tornado Bee last month, but the latter forfeited the fixture. Damani sit second in the league with four points earned from the walkover.
