The National Open Pool Championship 2025 Mini Qualifiers lit up Townsend Bar and Restaurant in Ntinda on October 31st, as top cue masters battled for spots in the regional qualifiers.

The atmosphere was electric. Fans packed the venue, cheering on the country’s best pool players as they showcased precision, calmness, and flair on the table.

Veteran Experience Meets Rising Force

Veteran cueist Nsubuga Humphrey, a 2010 finalist, rolled back the years with trademark composure and tactical class to book his spot in the regionals, proof that true skill never fades.

He’ll be joined by Bwiire Mustapha, who was in blistering form all night. His 4–1 quarterfinal win over Nagaba Eric “RickRoss” showed both control and hunger for glory.

Tumwebaze Mathias and Niwagaba Innocent also qualified after consistent, focused performances that kept the crowd on edge.

Upsets and Twists

Not every big name made it through. Hon. Odonga Otto, a last-16 finisher in the previous edition, fell 4–2 to Kasozi Godfrey in one of the night’s biggest surprises.

Otto started well but couldn’t match Kasozi’s sharp precision and composure in the closing frames.

Road to the Regionals

With the dust settling in Ntinda, attention now turns to the regional qualifiers.

The mix of veterans and rising stars promises an even more thrilling chapter in the National Open Pool Championship 2025 journey.
