2026 National Basketball League | Men | Wednesday April 1,
- RezLife Saints Basketball Club 83-59 JKL Dolphins
Edrine Ekau controlled the paint with authority as RezLife Saints brushed aside JKL Dolphins 83–59 on Wednesday night at the RezLife Grounds in Lubowa.
Missing Micheal “Gatete” Otieno, the Saints showed no drop in quality. Instead, they played with intensity and clarity, turning defense into easy points and never letting JKL settle.
The game started scrappy, with both teams struggling for rhythm. Hon Kwany opened the scoring from the line, but it was Ekau who sparked life into the contest, knocking down a three-pointer that shifted momentum. From there, RezLife took over.
Duot Ajang dominated inside, Kyambadde Azariah controlled possession whenever he was on, and Maiba Kenga Joshua finished calmly as the Saints built a 24-12 lead by the end of the first quarter.
JKL tried to respond through Hasan Sentamu, but turnovers kept hurting them.
The second quarter followed the same pattern. Ekau attacked the rim, Kwany remained reliable at the line, and Kevin Moru added strong finishes.
RezLife’s defense, led by Birungi Shane and Kwany, forced rushed shots and mistakes. By halftime, the Saints were in full control at 41-23.
Any hope of a comeback faded quickly after the break. Ajang stretched the lead early, and although Sentamu showed brief resistance, RezLife always had an answer.
Moru hit a timely three, Ekau added from the line, and Rin Tueny Mabor’s steals kept JKL under pressure.
Emmanuel Okot capped a fast break late in the third as RezLife pushed the score to 53-36.
The final quarter was straightforward. Ekau hit another three, Ajang continued to finish inside, and Okot brought energy on both ends.
A steal and dunk from Ajang, set up by Okot, summed up the night, sharp, confident and dominant.
RezLife paced up more late on to freely cruise to a 83-59 win with dunk by Ajang.
Ekau led the way with 24 points, while Kwany and Ajang added 11 each.
For JKL, Kenneth Mesho recorded a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, Sentamu scored 14, and Fred Dexter Chiagaing Festo had 11.
Elsewhere, Namuwongo Blazers beat Kampala Rockets 88-75, while KCCA Panthers edged Victoria Crocs 83-79.
