- JKL Lady Dolphins 80-53 Victoria She Crocs
JKL Lady Dolphins put on a dominant show to beat Victoria She Crocs 80-53 in a National Basketball League game at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday.
They set the pace early, moving the ball well and defending with intent to take control of the contest.
A strong first quarter saw JKL open a 25-13 lead, before tightening up in the second to limit the She Crocs to just nine points and carry a big advantage into halftime.
The She Crocs showed some fight after the break, winning the third quarter to cut the gap, but JKL quickly regained control in the final period to run out comfortable winners.
Evelyn Nakiyingi led the way with a solid double-double of 22 points and 19 rebounds, controlling the paint on both ends. Her presence gave JKL the edge throughout the game.
She had good support from Tamasha Nsubuga, who scored 20 points, and Ritah Imanishimwe, who added 19, including key early three-pointers.
Francine Tshimanga scored 15 points for the She Crocs, but her effort was not enough on a difficult day for her team.
