KIU Titans induced a ninth loss of the 2023 National Basketball League season to JKL Dolphins after a 76-64 defeat on Wednesday at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The Titans led from start to end but suffered a near-scare after the Dolphins cut a 27-point gap to just 12.
The victory was courtesy of a relatively good show from Isaiah Mabeny and Saidi Amisi, who dropped 14 points apiece.
They were supplemented by Innocent Ochera, who managed 13 points on the night.
On his debut after a return, Denis Balungu dropped six points, featuring for just nine minutes for the Titans.
On the other hand, in a losing effort, Ahmed Kassa managed a game-high 20 points for JKL against his former paymasters.
The Shooting Guard was thus treated to a standing ovation after his withdrawal in the final moments of the game.
JKL also had Fadhil Chuma drop a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Derrick Katumba also managed double figures.
