Following their agonizing 81-56 loss to the Nam Blazers in game one of the semi-finals of the National Basketball League, KIU Titans turned up for game two a different outfit.

The students side, against all odds, managed to beat the Blazers 75-64 on Sunday, at YMCA Wandegeya, to level terms in the Best of Five series.

The Titans were 39-33 leaders at halftime and opened the second stanza in a similar way, eventually running away with the win.

They were inspired by great displays from Gaius Mahamba, who managed a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The other standout performers for the KIU Titans included Edgar Munaaba (18 points), with Isaiah Mabeny and Fidel Okoth putting up 13 and 10 points respectively.

Meanwhile, David Dikong and Amisi Saidi were the star perfomers for the Nam Blazers, with the latter putting up a respectable 14 points.

Each of the two sides will be hoping to win game three and secure a 2-1 series lead when they lock-horns again on Wednesday.
