Seven time National Basketball League champions, City Oilers will take on the UCU Canons in a mouthwatering semi-final clash after both sides sailing through to the last 4.
Oilers narrowly beat UPDF Tomahawks for Sunday’s game two 65-64, at Lugogo Indoor Arena to hit the last four.
Meanwhile, UCU trumped JKL Dolphins 81-29 to set up a dream clash with arch-rivals, City Oilers.
The dominant display was courtesy of a big performance from forward Fadhil Chuma, who put up 14 points and 13 rebounds.
It was closely contested and the soldiers nearly levelled the series but their efforts were undone by a superb late show from Oilers’ skipper, James Okello.
In the other men semifinal clash, Nam Blazers will lock-horns with the KIU Titans after beating KCCA Panthers and Power respectively in the last 8.
On the other hand, in the Women’s division, UCU Lady Canons and the KCCA Leopards will face KIU Rangers and JKL Dolphins respectively.
The last four matchups that will start on Friday, will be played in a five-game series.
