  • KIU Titans 84-59 RezLife

RezLife Saints delivered a basketball masterclass on Wednesday night, dominating KIU Titans 84-59 in a lopsided showdown at Abja Park in Naalya that left little doubt about their championship ambitions.

From tip-off, the Saints took control, edging the first quarter 18-16 before erupting in the second with a blistering 29-point effort that saw them soar to a commanding 47-24 halftime lead.

KIU, despite a spirited 20-point third quarter, never found their rhythm as Rez Life consistently responded with poise and precision.

Rez Life’s dominance was built on a team-oriented approach, highlighted by standout performances from Leonardo Gilabi who recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds and Francis Kasinde who added 11 points to the tally.

Their fluid ball movement and relentless hustle made the difference as Coach Moses Okwera’s squad suffocated KIU on both ends of the court.

While the Titans struggled to keep pace, they found some spark in Daniel Odokonyero, who poured in a game-high 22 points. Bang Difu Desmasiro was the only other Titan to reach double digits but their efforts weren’t enough to close the growing gap.

RezLife’s defense was especially notable in the second quarter, holding the Titans to just eight points while turning steals and rebounds into quick transition buckets.

By the time the fourth quarter rolled around, the Saints were coasting, having built a cushion too wide for KIU to challenge.

In other men’s fixtures, Sommet Basketball Club secured their second win of the season with a 67-60 victory over Victoria Crocs at YMCA, Wandegeya.

Meanwhile, the UCU Canons continued their winning ways, defeating Livingstone 74-60 in Lugogo.
