Newly promoted NEC FC have signed 24-year-old defender Kelvin Tah Barni from Kyetume FC a two-year contract making him the Club’s eighth signing of the transfer season.
The defender has previous experience in the Uganda Premier League, having been promoted from Kyetume’s junior team to the senior team in 2021/22.
NEC FC are looking to make a strong impression in their maiden Uganda Premier League season and have been busy in the transfer market.
NEC already unveiled Brian Kayanja from KCCA FC, Samson Kirya from Wakiso Giants, Ronald Owiny Ogenga from Calvary FC, John Paul Acire from Blacks Power, midfielder Allan Mugalu from Arua Hill, Goalkeeper Maganda Ismael from Proline, Balyejusa Isaac from Luweero United.
Over the weekend, NEC FC played to 1-all draw with Kagera Sugar in an international friendly that was played at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
NEC FC will be looking to challenge for the top half of the table in their first season in the Uganda Premier League.
