Ntare Lions League action returns this Sunday

The 13th edition of the Ntare Lions League that kicks off this Sunday at Kampala Quality Sports complex will run for 18 weeks.

Uganda’s premier Sunday soccer league that brings together teams from Ntare School’s 60+ year old heritage is an ongoing initiative of Ntare School Old Boys that allows them to come together as a networking avenue through sports.

Teams will face off once through the regular season and cap it off with a final played between the top two placed teams.

Defending champions Nshera FC will start their title defence against Kabali FC in the fifth game of the day.

Last season’s finalists, Ebicuncu FC will entertain Mugudu at 1:45pm. Games will start at 10am and two matches will be played concurrently.

Speaking at the press briefing, the Lions League President Aine Amatsiko Moses Guma commended Kampala Quality Sports Complex for a venue that has a good playing surface and shower rooms.

He also extended thanks to Jumia, Jibu Water, Peak Shots, BangiTv and Heat Events for providing support in kind and in cash to the league.

FC Abashweki, Bonshe FC, Ebicuncu FC, FC Kabali, Kachanchali, Kafubs, Kashoro FC, SC Kalele, Machando FC, FC Mugudu, Nshera FC, SC Jabulani, TY Omujuma, Nturi FC, Kasasi FC, Kisyanga FC, SC Ensayi, Kajogo FC and Bweras FC, a guest team from Bweranyangi Girls’ SSS old girls.
