Nyakasura School and Jinja SS both advanced to the semifinals of the Sky View Boys Schools Cricket Week unbeaten as each won all their respective group games.
Nyakasura who were the runners up last year sealed the group stages with a 6 wicket win over Kiira College, Butiiki while Jinja SS capped it with a 141-run win against Ndejje SS.
As the group leaders, the two sides will face the runner’s up from opposite groups.
Jinja SS who topped Group A will face Kololo SS who finished second in Group B while Nyakasura who topped the latter group will face the defending champions Busoga College,Mwiri.
Kololo sealed their qualification with an easy win against St. John’s SS. That game saw Aziz Tandia pick 8 wickets as Kololo beat their opponents by 10 wickets.
Despite losing to Jinja SS yesterday, Mwiri had already booked their place in the semis, but they made sure to end the group stages with a good run.
The side coached by Emmanuel Isaneez beat Ndejje SS by 131 runs in the morning before seeing off Ntare by 8 wickets in the afternoon.
The tournament is now at its business end, and the semis are scheduled for Saturday morning.
Jinja SS will face Kololo at the Jinja SS Cricket Oval, while the Mwiri vs Nyakasura game will be contested at the Mwiri grounds.
The final will then be played in the afternoon.
