The pair join as impactful additions for the Blazers, who will represent Uganda on the continental stage after being confirmed for the tournament.

Their arrival ends weeks of uncertainty following City Oilers’ withdrawal, while UCU Canons and Sommet declined participation.

Obasa, born in 1999 and standing 6 feet 10 inches, brings size and dominance in the paint.

He developed at MPAC Sports Academy, later featuring for Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines and competing professionally in Malaysia and the Philippines.

Murry adds experience and scoring firepower. A graduate of Austin Peay State University, the American guard has played across Europe, Asia, and Africa, averaging 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in college.

Their addition gives the Blazers much-needed depth and leadership as they prepare for their first Road to BAL campaign.

A strong showing in Tanzania would see them progress to the Elite 16 in November, bringing them closer to a historic place in the 2026 BAL finals in Kigali, Rwanda.
