Patrick Ocheng and Juma Saidi have lifted Uganda onto the global darts stage, guiding Uganda Police Darts Club to a historic qualification for the Professional Darts Corporation World Cup of Darts.
The pair went unbeaten at the African Qualifiers in Kenya, topping a 40-team field to secure Uganda’s first appearance at the tournament set for Frankfurt this June.

They started strongly with back-to-back 5-2 wins over Kenyan pairs Maina and Ezekiel, and Kirwa and Njanaba. Confidence grew as they beat Chepkwony and Rop 6-3, showing sharp finishing and control.
Ocheng and Saidi tightened their grip with a 7-3 victory over Wanjohi and Kama, before sealing qualification with an emphatic 8-3 win against Malawi’s Zako and Mkandawire.
Across all five matches, they stayed consistent and composed, outscoring every opponent with ease.
Their run marks a breakthrough moment for Ugandan darts.
