The golden sands of Aero Beach, Entebbe, buzzed with energy on Saturday, October 4, 2025, as the Swans Sports Club hosted a one-day touch rugby tournament that mixed fierce competition with vibrant beach fun.
Twelve teams under the watchful eye of Uganda National Touch Association battled it out under the blazing sun in three groups:
Group A featured Ebyononese, Balaam, Legacy Holders, and Fukho;
Group B had Trybabies, Engsol, Los Bandidos, and Kyadondo;
while Group C included Tequila Shots, Off Season, Swans Festival, and Abakamanyi.
From the first whistle, the action was fast and fiery. Players darted across the sand, trading quick passes and diving for daring tries as fans cheered them on to the beat of beach music.
When the final whistle blew, it was Off Season who stood above the rest. Their consistent performance throughout the day culminated in a hard-fought victory over Tequila Shots in the final, crowning them the 2025 Swans Beach Rugby Touch Down champions.
Beyond the fun, the festival aimed to create cancer awareness and provided access to free cancer screening services on site.
