Defender Fatumah Nakasumba has officially joined Wakiso Hill WFC on a two-year employment contract.
The experienced defender joins the the newly promoted side as a free agent after leaving Asubo Gafford Ladies FC at the end of the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League.
Nakasumba was a key player in Asubo Gafford Ladies FC’s survival in the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League season.
The former Lady Doves player becomes the second official signing for Wakiso Hill WFC who have already announced the signing of left back Phoebe Banura from She Corporate FC.
The lanky defender has a wealth of experience having won the FUFA Women’s Cup and FUFA Women Elite League titles with She Makerere in 2019 and 2022 respectively.
She also won the first-ever FUFA Women’s Super League title with Lady Doves in 2020/21.
In 2023, Nakasumba won the FUFA Women’s Beach Soccer League title with Asubo Gafford Ladies FC and was also named the most valuable player (MVP) in the competition.
Nakasumba has previously featured for Lady Doves, She Makerere, Asubo Gafford Ladies among others.
