In the highlands of Zombo at the iconic Bar Okoro Stadium, Paidha Black Angels and Gaddafi FC wrote a dramatic chapter in the 2024/ 25 FUFA Big League season, completing a match that had been interrupted in peculiar fashion just a day earlier.
What started as a rain-washed showdown on Sunday evening ended in a triumphant comeback for Paidha on a crisp Monday morning, as they edged Gaddafi 2-1 in a postponed fixture that kept fans on edge till the final whistle.

The original encounter had kicked off under stormy skies and within just ten minutes, the match was forced into abandonment after the downpour flooded the pitch, making ball movement nearly impossible.
At the time of suspension, Paidha were already a goal to the good, thanks to a clinical finish from Benjamin Opakrowth that gave the home side an early lead.

With FUFA regulations in place, the game was rescheduled to resume from the 11th minute on Monday morning an unusual restart that brought an air of suspense to Bar Okoro Stadium.
Gaddafi, trailing from the outset, quickly settled into rhythm and managed to level terms in the 29th minute through seasoned defender Savio Kabugo who rose highest to nod home from a set piece, reigniting hopes of an away comeback.
But Paidha Black Angels, cheered on by their faithful home support, stayed resolute and persistent. The game wore on, each side testing the other’s defensive lines, until the 86th minute when substitute Frank Kalule Muna etched his name into local football lore.
Pouncing on a loose ball inside the box, Muna drilled a low strike past the Gaddafi goalkeeper to seal a 2-1 victory for the hosts.
The result was a significant one in the FUFA Big League standings. With the win, Paidha Black Angels climbed to fourth place with 33 points, just one shy of Gaddafi FC who remained in third.
The tightly packed top of the table means every point, especially in such rescheduled fixtures, could be pivotal in the race for promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
