YMCA Comprehensive Institute will visit St. Lawrence University on Wednesday in a crucial Pepsi University Football League clash, aiming to extend their unbeaten run to four games in Group C.

YMCA has secured five points from three matches, while St. Lawrence has four points from the same number of games.

Their last meeting ended 2-0 in favour of YMCA, setting up an intense showdown.

St. Lawrence captain Balondemu Lukisi expressed confidence despite limited preparation time due to the university’s recent reopening.

“My players are ready to face any challenges. Though we resumed on Monday, we are determined to compete,” he stated.

He acknowledged injuries within the squad but assured fans of an entertaining match.

YMCA Assistant Coach Vicent Sebwato exuded confidence in his team’s readiness.

“We are well prepared, and my team is in good shape. St. Lawrence is a big team, but we expect the best results,” he said, emphasizing the importance of the match in their season objectives.

YMCA captain Joshua Jesse echoed his coach’s optimism, highlighting their improved performance in the second round.

“We are highly motivated, and our coaches have done a great job. It’s an away game, which makes it tough, but we believe we will win,” he noted.
