Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC have completed the signing of 25-year old former Gor Mahia player Peter Lwasa on a free transfer with an option of extending it.
The versatile midfielder agreed terms with Lugogo based club on Monday, underwent medical on Tuesday and signed the contract to become a Kasasiro Boy on the same day.
Lwasa parted ways with record Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions, Gor Mahia in August 2023 after expiry of his contract leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
In the last two seasons at Gor Mahia, Lwasa scored 21 goals and registered 18 assists in 47 appearances before he switched to Sport Lubumbashi in DR Congo, where he scored 3 goals and 2 assists in 9 games.
Lwasa, who joined Gor Mahia in September 2021 from Kariobangi Sharks, had previously been a part of the football scene in Kenya, having made a name for himself while playing for Sofapaka.
He will be expected to add quality to KCCA FC who finished the first round of this season in 9th place with 19 points from 15 games.
The 13-time league champions will host BUL FC this Friday at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in their first game of the second round.
