Kenya Simbas started their Victoria Cup campaign with a 36-12 win over Zambia at Kyadondo Rugby Ground on Wednesday.
The Simbas played their usual bully rugby that Zambia could not match for most parts of the game. Hillary Odhiambo and Joel Inzuga scored early tries that John Kubu converted before Paul Mutsami added another try.
Zambia responded with two penalties from Alex Mwewa and Terry Kaushiku for a 19-6Â halftime score.
Kubu and George Nyambua scored Kenya’s tries in the second half while Kaushiku converted a couple of penalties for Zambia.
