Celebrities from the entertainment and sports circles gathered for a noble cause and participated in a football match dubbed ‘Play For Hope Celebrity Match’.
The monetary gains of the event from gate collections and other sales including donations will be handed over to Katalemwa Cheshire Home, a charity organisation.
The second edition of the charity match was hosted by MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo the home of KCCA FC yesterday evening.
Team Spice Diana and Team Alex Muhangi had famous faces from the football fraternity in Saddam Juma and Mustafa Kizza among others.
Juma and Kizza featured for comedian Alex Muhangi’s team which won 2-0 courtesy of goals from the two Uganda Cranes players.
From the entertainment industry, Eddy Kenzo, John Blaq, Rickman, Maulana and Reign, DJ Roja, Gareth Onyango, Hannington Bugingo and Lynda Ddane all honoured the match.
