Day 2 action of the 7th edition of the Uganda Para-Badminton Championship ended on Wednesday at Lugogo indoor stadium, Kampala – Uganda.
This year’s event that was colored by Uganda’s leading painting company Kansai Plascon started on Monday 1st – 7th of this month and attracted 14 countries across the world with over 180 players taking part in this championship.
Some of the countries in this year’s championship include; Uganda, Kenya NOC, Togo, India, Zambia, Brazil, Egypy, among other countries.
Players who qualified for the Paris Para Olympics are using this event as build-up games and others are using this event to collect points for the 2028 Para olympics that will be held in Los Angeles, USA.
Over 50 matches were played on day 2 of the championship goup stages. Matches will resume tomorrow – 5th July 2024, with over 40 matches to be played in the same venue.
