The Black Pirates Rugby Club has confirmed that star forward Eliphaz Emong is heading to South Africa to join Belhar RFC on a short-term loan.
The move, made after “careful consideration,” will give Emong a chance to sharpen his skills, experience a new rugby culture, and compete in a different environment.
The Pirates praised Emong’s growth and believe his time abroad will boost both his game and the club when he returns.
Emong follows in the footsteps of Wycliff Santos Ssenteza, a yellow machine who joined Belhar RFC.
The club hopes this growing link could open doors for more Ugandan players to gain international experience, strengthening both the Pirates and Uganda’s rugby scene.
