After the 2025 Buganda Masaza Final, Kansai Plascon Marketing Manager Daniel Kayongo promised to continue sponsorship towards the Masaza Cup tournament in the coming years.

“We at Plascon are honored that the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, has been pleased to watch the Masaza Cup final 2025.” he said
“We are also grateful for the way this year’s competition went, where disputes were resolved by the organizers and security, and we are happy to see Masaza Cup continue developing players as we continue to see former players privileged on the national team.”
“Therefore, we hope that our advocacy will continue in the coming years, and this year we have seen that winning is only decided by football, because we as Plascon, our most discriminated team, Buddu, did not come out of the group.”
The final match was played at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on November 1, and Buwekula beat their neighbors Ssingo 1-0 with a goal scored by Alex Talemwa.

The match went down in history as the Kabaka’s first full appearance since 2022, when Buwekula lost 2-0 to Buddu with goals from Marvin Kavuma and Bruno Bunyaga.
Although the Kabaka’s full appearance, it is believed that the heavy rain prevented people from watching the match, and some seats were empty; however, it was possible for people to enjoy the match.
Before the match, after heavy rain, the gates were opened at around 9 am, and without disturbance, people entered the stadium as the third-place match, where Kyaggwe beat Bugerere 1-0, was played while people were still entering.
After the third-place match, fourth-placed Bugerere and Kyaggwe were awarded prizes.

Then, the teams that were supposed to play the final came out to wave to the fans, with Ssingo first and then Buweekula, amidst a frenzy of action led by their head coach, Felix Ssekabuza Ssalongo.
Later, the coaches started preparing warm-ups, and when the King arrived, the excitement continued to fill the crowd as the King waved at them before retiring to his throne outside the Palace.
The teams then entered the stadium to warm up, where they finished and went back to the dressing rooms ahead of the kickoff.
Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga led the player inspections, and the match started.
Ssingo started with a lot of attacks, but Buwekula survived and then scored in the 17th minute.
Ssingo remained attacking, but defender Calvin Pario Ogubezu led Buweekula to prevent Ssingo from getting an equaliser.
With the match in the break, there was a tag of war between Ssingo and Buweekula, competing as each won once of the two attempts.
After the game resumed with the second half, Buweekula had a chance to score the second goal, but Alex Talemwa struck the ball on the crossbar.
Towards the end of the match, Ssingo fans agreed and started to leave the stadium before referee Stephen Kimayo stopped the match while the clock was clocking 2 minutes and 19 seconds past on the three minutes shown as added time.
Later, the awarding ceremony commenced. Calvin Pariyo was crowned man of the match, Ssingo goalkeeper Joel Byamukama was awarded the Golden Glove, while Jimmy Kalema scooped both the Golden Boot and the MVP awards.

The awarding continued with different prizes. Buweekula tipped with a medal receiving before Kabaka choosing to step up and hand over the trophy.
