With the Uganda International Badminton Challenge concluding on Sunday, February 22, partner Kansai Plascon has hailed the influence of Badminton in Uganda, considering it to be ahead in the entire Sports Industry.
At the climaxing event held at Lugogo Indoor Arena, Kansai Plascon’s Marketing Director, Daniel Kayongo, noted, “It is impressive to know that this event has attracted guests from 38 countries across the globe. Honestly, the number of visiting countries can only be here for badminton; no other sport has ever done it.”
“Through this Uganda International, we have also seen our players getting exposure from players in high rankings of the sport, and we also believe that we can push to have some of our fellow Ugandans qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, having started their qualifiers,” he added.
The Uganda International Challenge started on Wednesday, February 18, with over 200 players from different parts of the globe.
The partnership between Badminton Uganda and Kansai Plascon continues to grow following the first three successful years of partnership.
Kayongo assured of continued support in the partnership, “As Plascon, we are impressed with Badminton Uganda; dealing with them is clear. In fact, it is a pleasure for us to have this partnership, and we believe we will continue with it.”
Now, after the Uganda International Senior Challenge, the focus immediately switches to the Junior Challenge, which starts on Monday, February 23, and will go on until the 25th in Lugogo.
