This Sunday, the Kampala Old Boys (KOBs) will have their annual general meeting, during which the club will go to the polls.
Chairperson Dr Tonny Stone Luggya will be in contention for another term and must muscle it out against the loquacious Jean Claude Rutayisire.
Darren Rutagwera aka Uncle Darren and Timothy Kabonero aka Kapaps will go head-to-head for Vice Chairperson.
Andrew Charles Ikopit is unopposed for the role of Club Secretary, while Ms Atai Aloka Muriel is vying for the role of Treasurer against Fabiano Atwooki Tukacungurwa.
Recently, the KOBs acquired UGX 95M sponsorship from KCB, with the latter earning naming rights for the club.
KOBs is one of the most decorated clubs in Uganda, boasting 13 Premiership titles, 9 Uganda Cup titles, and National 7s championships – having been established in 1963 – and is in the middle of its diamond jubilee celebrations.
Only fully paid members will be eligible for the vote, and only these members can access the club’s complete technical and financial reports.
