A spirited Power overcame mid-table outfit KCCA Panthers to a 70-65 victory in the National Basketball League on Wednesday night.

They were led by the superb Francis ‘Odom’ Kasinde, who shot 7-for-16 hence posting a player of the match performance thanks to a game high 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

His performance was complemented by Nasser Guddi’s 15 points and seasoned Isaac Afidra’s 9 points and 12 rebounds.

It meant that Power have now completed a league double over Panthers, having beaten the side 55-51 in March during the first round meeting.

For the Panthers, Rin Tueny Mabor had 16 points, Martin Buluma and Emmanuel Odongkara contributed 11 and 10 points respectively.

The loss ended KCCA’s three game winning streak, making it six losses suffered this season so far. Power (11-4) are third on the log behind leaders UCU and City Oilers while Panthers remain sixth.
