Prisons Netball Club unveiled Sharon Pita, a versatile 19-year-old sensation, to their squad yesterday afternoon at their home ground in Luzira.

With a mission to build a competitive squad for the near future, Pita’s ability to dominate as a Goal Keeper, Wing Defense, and Goal Defense makes her a standout addition.

“Her multi-positional expertise and competitive spirit align seamlessly with the goals of the Club, and we are confident she will play a key role in shaping our team’s future successes,” read part of the Club’s statement.

She will enhance their defensive strength and adaptability as they prepare for the challenges ahead, starting with the national league that tipped off yesterday.

A product of St. Noah Girls School, Pita has showcased her skills, earning a reputation as a formidable player on the local scene thanks to her level-headed approach.

Pita was instrumental for her school at the 2024 Uganda Senior Secondary School Association Ball Games 2 in Soroti, hosted by Teso College Aloet.

They lost to finalists Buddo Secondary School in a close contest that ended 34-32. Buddo overpowered them in all four quarters: 9-7, 18-16, 28-25, and 34-32.
