Put summons Uganda Cranes squad for World Cup Qualifiers

New Uganda Cranes coach Paul Put has summoned a 36-man provisional squad to start preparations for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

Vipers striker Yunus Ssentamu is one of the players that returned to the national team. Captain Emmauel Okwi and Farouk Miya missed out of the team.

One of Cranes on form players Ibrahim Kasule was also not included in the team among others.

Uganda will battle Guinea and Somalia on 17th and 21st November respectively. These games will be played in Morocco and Uganda will be the visiting team.

The final team will travel to Berkene, Morocco on 12th November.

Uganda is in Group G alongside Algeria, Somalia, Guinea, Botswana and Mozambique.
