The FUFA Women’s Super League reaches its exciting climax this Sunday with crucial matches across the league. In Masindi, sixth-placed Lady Doves (15 points) lock horns with bottom side Asubo Ladies (10 points) in a relegation scrap.

A win for Lady Doves will see them leapfrog Rines SS into fifth (18 points) while condemning Asubo to the relegation zone. However, Asubo who have a game in hand can climb within two points of safety with a victory.

Lady Doves Seek Double Victory

Lady Doves are in impressive form, boasting a 95-day unbeaten home run across all competitions. They recently toppled giants Kawempe Muslim and Uganda Martyrs, and are targeting a repeat win over Asubo after securing a comfortable 4-1 victory in the first leg.

Asubo, on the other hand, are desperate for a turnaround. Their last win came on January 20th against She Makerere, a concerning 91-day winless streak. They receive a boost with the return of top scorer Kamiyat Naigaga (6 goals) who missed their previous game.

Wakiso Hill Hunt for Crucial Win Under Assistant Coach

Elsewhere in Kitende, Wakiso Hill (15 points) face a crucial test against She Maroons. Can they overcome the absence of sanctioned head coach Rogers Nkugwa and climb out of the relegation zone?

Their recent narrow defeat to She Makerere highlights their competitiveness, and they aim to replicate that fighting spirit against She Maroons, who comfortably dispatched Asubo Ladies 2-0 in their last outing.

The first leg between these two teams ended in a 1-1 draw. Without Nkugwa on the sidelines, assistant coach Rajab Buyinza takes charge for Wakiso Hill.

A win for Wakiso Hill will push them out of the relegation zone, sending UCU Lady Cardinals (14 points) down in their place.

The Antelopes, however, can secure seventh position with a convincing win (two or more goals) coupled with a significant defeat for She Makerere against league leaders Kampala Queens.
