The FUFA Women Super League kicks back into action this Sunday morning with three exciting matches on matchday five starting at 10:00AM.
Asubo Ladies and Rines SS WFC are both seeking their first league victories of the season, while Wakiso Hill WFC and UCU Lady Cardinals look to build on their recent successes.
Rines SS WFC Takes on Wounded Wakiso Hill WFC
Rines SS WFC, who have lost three games and drawn one, travels to St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende to face a wounded Wakiso Hill WFC side.
Wakiso Hill is coming off a 2-0 loss to UCU Lady Cardinals, their second defeat of the season in four games. However, they have at least registered one victory, unlike their opponents who have only one point to their name.
A win for Rines SS WFC would lift them out of the relegation zone, but it would send Wakiso Hill to the bottom two. This will be the first-ever top-flight Wakiso derby, with Rines holding a better record in their non-top-flight football meetings.
Winless Asubo Ladies FC Hosts UCU Lady Cardinals
At Kampala Quality grounds, winless Asubo Ladies FC welcomes UCU Lady Cardinals. Asubo picked up their first league point of the season in their previous game against Uganda Martyrs, while their opponents registered their first victory of the season in their previous game when they edged Wakiso Hill WFC 2-0 in Mukono.
Last season, Asubo defeated UCU Lady Cardinals 3-2 at home.
Striker Kamiyat Naigaga and defender Desire Katisi Natoro are expected to return from U20 national team duty and start against UCU.
Makerere FC Faces Lady Doves in Tricky Tie
She Makerere FC hosts Lady Doves in Makerere in a tricky tie. Makerere has played three games so far, winning once and drawing the rest, and they are yet to concede a defeat.
Lady Doves, who have played four games, have won one, drawn two, and lost one. Last season, Makerere narrowly defeated Lady Doves 1-0 at the same playground they are using this morning.
