Nagayi, who is an attacking midfielder, scored seven goals last season, while Namanda netted six goals in nine games after joining the team in the second round.

Rines SS WFC mathematically survived relegation on the last day of the league last season, but they managed to finish sixth on the table with 20 points, only one point above the relegation zone.

Ever since they were promoted to topflight football in the 2021/22 season, Rines SS WFC have been surviving relegation on the last day, but they are determined to challenge for the top three this season.

Head coach Bright Taddeo Nyanzi is optimistic that his team can achieve their goals.

“As it has always been, we promote young players from the school team to the senior team,” Nyanzi said.

“We believe that those we promoted way back are now confident, experienced, and ready to execute what we expect from them.”

“Our target this season is to win the FUFA Women’s Cup and also to finish in the top three in the league as we keep dreaming big to become a big and successful club.”

The 2023/24 FUFA Women’s Super League season will kick off this weekend and Rines SS WFC will host Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium in Wakiso on Sunday, October 15th.
