Uganda rugby sevens have concluded their 2023 Africa 7s journey in third place after defeating Zimbabwe.
Uganda exerted revenge on the hosts, winning 24-12, and booked a ticket to the repêchage, for a final chance to feature at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

After a nervy 0-5 start, Adrian Kasito drew Uganda level, before Philip Wokorach put on his dancing feet to send Uganda into the break leading 10-05.

Isaac Massa opened Uganda’s account of the second half, before Philip Wokorach, again, bulldozed his way through the defense to seal the win.
