The Cranes took another long journey into the rural parts of South Africa. To play former Vodacom Cup club side, Limpopo Blue Bulls. They took effort to brand themselves as amateur. It didn’t matter; it was all on show.
ADRIAN KASITO can run, he was involved in four long distance tries, stuff that you can’t coach. Fresh off the French domestic season, he proved why he is a mucuba. That is the kind of conditioning you aspire to have from your test player.
Aaron Ofoyrwoth played like a man with a second chance, he made up for all his errors from last weekend and gave us a few extra moments to remember like a beautiful try on the blindside. He also made effort to keep his over matched forwards going forward by lending his incredible frame to the bulwarking scrum that had us on the backfoot for most of the game.
The backline including Jospeh Aredo for the second successive weekend missing a wedding made up for the lack of sumptuous lunches by freeing up his hungry team mates to rampage. Little Tim was kept out of the best bits of action on the blind wing which could be where he will live for the rest of the campaign. Munyani did defense well but was typically reserved in attack. Liam Walker and Willliam Nkore played the same role. They didn’t really need to up the tempo. They played like men in wool, just doing enough to get through a difficult game.Â
The MAUL. No more words to add. That is it. Conceding 3 tries from that maul, negates any work that could have been done by the forwards all game.
We await the PUMAS next weekend.
