Rukia Naiga maintained her name at the top after beating Marion Kisakye in the finals of the Pool Association Union End of Year Pool Championship over the weekend at Koma Gardens, Mattuga.
Naiga enjoyed quite a remarkable season in 2023, and she made sure to conclude it in style.
After her triumph at the National Pool Open, Naiga who also won the All-Africa Pool Association title last year ensured to crown the year with more silverware.

Her opponent in the final had knocked out Rita Nimusiima, a former National Pool champion who overcame a giant that is Rasheeda Mutesi – a former seed one in the quarterfinals.

But in spite of her denying Mutesi a chance to add another medal to her trophy cabinet, Nimusiima finished fourth in the overall standings.
Vicky Namuyanja who lost to the eventual winner in the semis took the third spot.
In the Men’s category, Mansoor took the No.1 spot while Lawrence Ssengonge came second. Eria Kimuli and Kenneth Odong came 3rd and fourth respectively.
