Uganda’s Lady Rugby Cranes booked their place in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Safari 7s with a dominant 34–12 win over Tunisia at the Nyayo National Stadium.
From the first whistle, Uganda imposed their rhythm, fast, fierce, and clinical.
Suzan Adong struck twice in the opening half, while Lydia Namabiro added another to give the Cranes a firm lead.
However, missed conversions kept the scoreline closer than it should have been.
Tunisia briefly clawed back with a converted try after capitalizing on a Ugandan restart error, but that was as close as they got.
Second-half substitute Tina Akello changed the tempo with sharp decision-making and precise kicking.
She converted tries from Grace Nabaggala and Fazira Namukwaya before slicing through the Tunisian defense to set up Comfort Anganyika for the final blow.
The win, Uganda’s second of the tournament sealed their spot in the quarterfinals and underlined their growing confidence in pursuit of another Safari 7s title.
