Sam Ssenyonjo wasted no time announcing himself at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday, producing a performance that will linger long in the memory as AFC Leopards humbled Tusker 4–0 on match day 16 of the 2025/26 Kenya Premier League.

The Ugandan forward was at the heart of everything Ingwe did well, scoring a superb hat-trick and setting up the fourth goal in a ruthless attacking display.

From the first whistle, Ssenyonjo looked sharp and hungry, constantly unsettling the Tusker defence.

He opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a composed finish, setting the tone for a dominant afternoon.

Ten minutes later, he struck again, doubling Leopards’ lead and sending the home fans into full voice as Ingwe went into the break firmly in control at 2–0.

Any hope of a Tusker response vanished soon after halftime. Three minutes into the second half, Ssenyonjo turned provider, calmly teeing up Ronald Sichenje to make it 3–0 and effectively settle the contest.

The forward saved the best for last in the 72nd minute. After being brought down in the box following another clever run, Ssenyonjo picked himself up and coolly converted the resulting penalty to complete a deserved hat-trick.

It was a statement performance from the former Express FC striker. With three goals, an assist and a commanding all-round display, Ssenyonjo displayed how a perfect start at AFC Leopards should look like.
