Uganda Sands Cranes head coach Arch Rica Byaruhanga promised Ugandans to watch an entertaining team with big character to win at the Cecafa Championship.

The team entered a residential camp four days ago and the progress has been on the right path.

“The team is doing well, the players are collaborating very well and the senior players on the team are doing a great job in engaging the young players on the team.”

On day four of the training, the Uganda Sands Cranes have had full house at Bomboo Garden Beach Soccer Arena in Kasenje where the camp is being held.

After having all the players in training, Byaruhanga optimistically made a bold promise

“This is our day for in preparation for CACAFA Beach Soccer Championship, my technical team and I are working hard to apply our tactics, we are looking to control the game in our Ugandan way, we want to entertain but also winning is paramount.”

Byaruhanga is working hand in hand with fellow former national team players in Baker Lukooya and Geoffrey Akabwayi as his assistants.

The inaugural CECAFA Beach Soccer championship is scheduled to take place between 6th and 11th June 2025 in Mombasa, Kenya.
