SC Villa secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Busoga United at Wankulukuku Stadium in the Uganda Premier League, propelling them to sixth place in the standings.
The win marked a return to form for Villa, who had previously drawn with Mbarara City.
Umar Lutalo and Ronald Ssekiganda were the heroes for Villa, scoring in the 20th and 75th minutes, respectively.
Forward Patrick Kakande, who was named man of the match, played a pivotal role in both goals, including Lutalo’s missed penalty.
Despite Villa’s dominance, they could have easily extended their lead, missing several scoring opportunities.
Nevertheless, the 2-0 victory was a significant boost for Villa, who are aiming to once again challenge for the championship title.
