SC Villa will be gunning for their third victory of the season when they lock horns with Busoga United in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Thursday at Wankulukuku Stadium.

The Jogoos, who held Mbarara City to a goalless draw in their previous outing, are eager to improve their inconsistent form this season.

With two wins, three draws, and two losses under their belt, Villa currently sits in tenth place with nine points, one point above their opponents.

“We have to show the ability that we have come to win. We also have to take away the chances we create. We are at home, and we have to use it as an added advantage. But we also have to make sure we keep a clean sheet,” said Villa coach Dusan Stojanovic.

Busoga United, on the other hand, will be looking to build on their morale-boosting 2-1 victory over KCCA in their last match.

However, their away form remains unpredictable, with two wins against Arua Hill (1-0) and Gaddafi (1-0) balanced out by losses to Soltilo Bright Stars (3-2) and NEC (5-0).

“We have to give in our best if we are to get a result from Villa. We also have to minimize our mistakes. We have to play as a team if we are to secure results,” stated Busoga United coach Vincent Lukyamuzi.

In another Premier League encounter, Soltilo Bright Stars will host Arua Hill at their home ground in Kavumba, Wakiso district.

Both teams will be aiming to secure a much-needed victory to improve their league standings.
