SC Villa has appointed Serbian coach Kovacevic Zeljko as its new head coach, ending weeks of speculation.
The club confirmed the news on Tuesday via its social media platforms. Zeljko takes charge immediately, after previous talks with fellow Serbian Nemanja Milincic fell through.
A former top-level defender, Zeljko brings more than 12 years of coaching experience and is known for his tactical sharpness and modern approach to the game qualities the club hopes will reignite its competitive spirit.
“Zeljko brings the unique qualities we’ve been looking for,” the club said in a statement. “We believe he can turn our fortunes around and guide us back to continental success.”
SC Villa management has pledged full support for the new coach and assured fans that preparations are underway to build a strong squad for the upcoming season.
