SC Villa, seeking to regain their winning form, will host relegation-threatened Arua Hill in matchday seven of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Wankulukuku Stadium, 4pm.
Despite securing just one victory in their last five outings, the Jogoos who sit 11th on the log are confident in their ability to overcome second from bottom side, Arua Hill.
In their previous four league meetings, Villa has emerged victorious twice, drawing once, while Arua Hill has managed one win.
Villa will be without the services of winger Rogers Kiwanuka (knee injury), center-back Ramathan Juma (knee injury), and left-back Joseph Kafumbe (muscle injury).
Defender Arnold Odong expressed the team’s readiness for the encounter, stating:
“We’ve been training hard in the past weeks. We understand it won’t be an easy match as Arua Hill is a formidable opponent. However, we’ve prepared thoroughly to secure the maximum points and improve our league position.”
Arua Hill coach Livingston Mbabazi is confident in his team’s ability to challenge Villa on their home turf.
“We know our objective. We’ll strive to secure a positive result away from home,” remarked Mbabazi.
In the other Thursday fixture, form side BUL FC will seek to open up a six point gap at the top of the table when they visit 12th placed UPDF FC at Bombo.
