After verbal disputes from various factions of SC Villa fans as the Board has been silent for more than a year.
Trustees Chairman Gerald Ssendawula addressed the SC Villa supporters gathered at the team’s Training Ground located at Kulambiro, East High, on Sunday, March 1, for the Annual General Assembly.
He said the elections will be held on March 22, “After the term expired in challenges which led us to not hold elections on time, but today we announce that the elections will be held on March 22.”
“However, at the AGM, we are going to direct the election committee, then on March 3 and 4, the presidential candidates should pick up nomination forms to collect the qualifications, and then on the 7th, they will return them to the election committee, and then we will go for the election ahead,” he added.
Currently, the current leader, Hajji Omar Ahmed Mandela, and former SC Villa player and supporter, Hajji Farouq Meywa, have expressed their interest in contesting for the presidency of SC Villa.

In the elections set for March 22, only the President will be elected to have the mandate to name his committee as per SC Villa club statutes.
Later the AGM resolved to have possible presidential candidates to pay 100 millions none refundable fees as their proof to be able to run the club to propor destinations.
