When 16 year old Shakur Magogo steps onto the pitch at the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar, he carries more than just his teammates’ hopes he carries the dreams of a boy from Buyende District who believed talent, discipline, and heart could take him to the world stage.
Born on December 15, 2008, Magogo’s journey is one of steady progress through Uganda’s youth football ranks has managed to be part of Uganda’s World Cup qualification journey that started in Nakivubo to Morocco.

A graduate of the Edgars Youth Programme, he turned raw potential into polished skill, earning his place among Uganda’s young forwards.

Now a student at Namilyango College, Magogo balances school with football and excels at both.
