  • Uganda 65-38 Namibia

She Cranes threw off their Celtic Cup campaign with a dorminant 65–38 victory over Namibia on Wednesday at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland.

Uganda started cautiously, edging to a slim 13–11 lead in the first quarter as they worked to settle into their rhythm. But once they found their footing, the game tilted decisively.

The She Cranes accelerated in the second period, stretching the margin to 31–21 and forcing Namibia into constant defensive recovery.

After halftime, Uganda returned sharper and more confident. Their dominance grew, widening the gap to 48–30 by the end of the third quarter.

The final stanza was completely one-sided as the She Cranes closed out the match with authority, sealing a 27 goal win to keep their title chase alive.

Assistant coach Rashid Mubiru praised the team’s defensive discipline, which he said set the tone for the victory.

“Our game was good. With Namibia, we had our strengths in defense. We could not allow them to score goals very quickly, and that gave us an advantage to lead by more goals,” Mubiru said.

“Our plan tomorrow is to play stronger than today. We have five matches, and we have to win them to be the champions.”

With momentum building, the She Cranes will be back in action on Thursday November 27, when they face Northern Ireland at 05:30 pm.
