Ahead of their World Cup debut, Uganda She Gladiators have landed in Dakar, Bangladesh, where they will participate in the second edition of the Kabaddi Women’s World Cup.
The team departed Uganda on Friday, November 14, after receiving blessings from the Uganda National Council of Sports in Lugogo.
In Bangladesh, they will face countries like Poland, Iran, and Nepal at the group stage. The event has 12 countries from across the globe.
By the time the She Gladiators arrived in Bangladesh, they had three days to settle into the new environment, as the competition is set to start on Monday, November 17, and run through November 24, 2025.
The traveling team has Uganda Kabaddi Federation General Secretary Edgar Mujuni as the leader of the delegation, with John Nsibambi and Emphraim Makubuya as the technical leaders, serving as Head Coach and Assistant Coach, respectively.
The team has 13 players, including Olivia Nalubega, Eunice Awori, Jermima Zalwango, Nahia Nalwoga, Jovita Lubango, Shirat Nakayongo, Erina Natabbi, Sarah Kisakye, Sharifah Nanono, Grace Ojil, Shirat Kirembe, Dorothy Nagawa, and Rose Nankuba.
